Part 9

Jungkook’s smirk deepened as he folded his hands on the desk. “But first,” he said smoothly, “tell me—will you agree to any condition I put forward?”

Mr. Min’s throat tightened, but he forced himself to nod. “I will… I can’t lose my company.”

“Good,” Jungkook said, his voice calm yet sharp like a blade. “Then I’ll come straight to the point—I want your daughter.”

The room fell silent. Mr. Min’s eyes widened in disbelief, his breath catching. “No,” Min whispered, then stronger, “No, Jungkook. That can’t happen. I will never bring my daughter into this.”

But Jungkook only leaned back, lips curving into a cold smirk. “It’s your choice, Mr. Min. But remember this—if you don’t give her to me yourself, I’ll take her away from you. And don’t fool yourself into thinking you can protect her. My men are everywhere. You know my power better than anyone.”

Mr. Min’s eyes filled .His fists trembled on his lap. He knew Jungkook’s words weren’t empty threats—once Jungkook set his mind on something, he never stopped until it was his. And now… his target was Rose.

Jungkook leaned forward, his eyes gleaming with certainty. “Don’t worry, Mr. Min. I’ll marry her… I’ll keep her safe.”

At those words, Mr. Min’s composure broke. Tears slipped from his eyes, his heart heavy with grief. He had built his empire with sweat and blood, but never—never—did he imagine his daughter being dragged into the dark world he had shielded her from all these years. He had always dreamt of finding her a kind, respectable man, someone who would keep her far from the shadows of the underworld.

But Jungkook’s smirk shattered those dreams. “Don’t cry, Dad,” he said mockingly, his tone both taunting and possessive. “I’m not taking your daughter right now. Go… spend time with her while you still can. I’ll let you know the wedding date soon.”

Mr. Min’s chest tightened painfully. He knew there was no escape—Jungkook’s words were final. Wiping his tears, he stood up silently, his steps heavy as he left the office, feeling as though the walls of his world were caving in.

At last, Mr. Min lowered his head in defeat. His voice trembled as he said, “Okay… I agree. But promise me—you’ll keep her safe from everyone, even from a shadow that could harm her.”

Jungkook’s lips curled into a slow, satisfied smirk. “Yes. Sure, Mr. Min. I’ll protect her from everyone.”

Mr. Min left the office, Jungkook leaned back in his chair, his dark eyes glittering with desire. Rose, my baby… I’ll protect you from the world, but who will protect you from me? He smirked at the thought, already imagining her lying helplessly beside him in his bed.

Meanwhile, Mr. Min walked out of the building, his steps heavy as if carrying the weight of the entire world. He wiped his tears quickly before anyone could see. Not today, he thought, swallowing the pain in his chest. But tomorrow… tomorrow I will tell her the truth.
