Part 50

Siya immediately stood up from the bed.

She quickly started walking toward the bathroom, wanting to freshen up… and more importantly, avoid him.

“Siya,” Aarav called.

She sighed but stopped.

“What?” she asked without turning.

“Give me my shirt,” he said casually. “It’s there.”

She glanced at the chair, picked up his shirt, and walked toward him.

“Here. Take it,” she said, extending it toward him.

Aarav smirked.

As he took the shirt, he suddenly held her hand.

Siya looked at him in surprise and said hey “What are you doing? Leave my hand.”

Aaray only smiled.

She tried pulling her hand back, but he didn’t let go.

“Just leave my hand,” she said irritably. “You know you’re shameless? Wandering around the room like this.”

Aarav raised an eyebrow.

“It’s my room,” he said calmly. “I can wander here however I want.”

Siya sighed.

“But it’s my room too now,” she replied. “So leave my hand.”

Aarav’s smile widened slightly.

“Yes,” he said softly, “I’m not denying that.”

“It’s our room now.”

Siya turned her face away.

Then he spoke again, teasingly.

“I’m hot, right?”

She immediately turned back to him.

“No, you’re not.”

Aarav chuckled.

“Fine,” he said. “Maybe I’m not.”

Then his gaze lingered on her face.

“But you are.”

Siya instantly pulled her hand back.

Her cheeks were already pink.

She quickly turned and walked toward the bathroom.

What does he think of himself? she thought.

I’m not going to fall for him.

Definitely not.

But even in her thoughts, she couldn’t deny one thing.

He actually was hot… and annoyingly handsome.

Behind her, Aarav watched her leave.

A small amused smile appeared on his lips.

That night, Siya was sitting on her bed.

Her mother’s diary rested in her hands.

She slowly turned the pages, reading quietly.

But her mind kept circling around one question.

Why did Dad never tell us about Mom’s family?

She smiled faintly while reading small, innocent moments from her mother’s life.

Then suddenly, her eyes stopped on a line.

She read it again.

Today because of bhabhi, Abhishek bhai scolded me.

I didn’t like it.

It wasn’t even my fault.

Siya froze.

“Abhishek…?” she whispered.

Her mind immediately recalled something.

Raj Mittal’s father’s name was Abhishek Mittal too.

Her grip on the diary tightened.

“No…” she murmured, shaking her head.

“It can’t be.”

“They can’t be the same person…”

Still, her heart started beating faster.

With slightly trembling fingers, she turned the page.

Her eyes moved across the next lines.

I don’t know why… but Rajveer and I like each other.

But Abhishek bhai will never agree.

Siya’s breath caught.

Her hands began to shake.

Slowly, the pieces in her mind started connecting.

“Abhishek… Mittal…” she whispered again.

Her heart pounded harder.

“No… it can’t be the same person… right?”

But she kept reading.

Almost afraid of what she might find next.

Then her eyes fell on another entry.

In her mother diary -

I am crying today.

Bhaiya shouted at me.

He has fixed my marriage.

I don’t want to marry the boy he chose.

I want to marry Rajveer.

But nothing can happen.

Bhaiya said in Mittals… love marriages never happen.

Siya froze completely.

Her mind went blank.

The truth she had never imagined slowly revealed itself.

Her mother…

Was the sister of Abhishek Mittal.

Which meant—

The Mittals… were her mother’s family.

Her fingers trembled as she looked closer at the page.

There was a faint stain on the paper.

A blurred patch of ink.

Siya gently touched it.

Then she realized.

Those weren’t ordinary stains.

They were tears.

Her mother’s tears… from the day she wrote this.

Siya’s chest tightened.

For the first time, the war she was fighting felt far more complicated than she had ever imagined.

Siya sat frozen, the diary still open in her hands.

She couldn’t believe it.

Her mother… was the sister of Abhishek Mittal. The people she hated this much was her maternal family.

Now everything started making sense.

Why her father never spoke about her maternal family.

Why that part of her life was always… hidden.

Siya took a slow breath.

“But… who killed Abhishek Mittal?” siya whispered.

Now she didn’t just want answers.

She needed them.

But before that, another thought struck her.

Her parents’ story she wants to know what happened in the past badly now.

She turned the page slowly and continued reading.

Her eyes moved quickly across the lines—

Then suddenly stopped.

On the page it was written-I am going to marry the boy my brother chose.

But I don’t want this.

I want to marry Rajveer.

Siya froze again.

Her heart started pounding.

“It means… something happened at the wedding…” she whispered.

Now things were far more complicated than she had ever imagined.

This wasn’t just a business rivalry.

This was a broken love story… a forced marriage… and hidden truths.

Her grip on the diary tightened.

Just then—

The door opened.

Aarav entered the room.

Siya didn’t even notice at first.

She was still lost in shock, her eyes fixed on the diary, her mind racing with questions.

Aarav stopped when he saw her.

Her expression wasn’t normal.

Something was clearly wrong.

He frowned slightly.

“Siya?”

No response.

He walked closer.

“Siya,” he called again, this time more serious.

She slowly looked up at him.

Her eyes were filled with confusion… shock… and something deeper.

For a moment, she didn’t say anything.

Aarav’s concern grew.

“What happened?” he asked quietly.

Siya looked at him… as if she wanted to say something—

But stopped.

Because now the truth she had found…

Wasn’t just hers anymore.

Siya quickly composed herself.

“Nothing,” she said. “I’m fine.”

Aarav didn’t look convinced.

“Tell me,” he said softly. “You can share anything with me. I’m here for you.”

Siya paused.

For a moment, she just looked at him.

As if she wanted to say everything.

But then—

She looked away.

She quietly placed the diary aside.

“Tell me,” she said instead, changing the topic, “how is the business going? Did you find out why those partners broke the contract?”

Aarav studied her face carefully.

He knew.

She was hiding something again.

But this time, he didn’t push.

“Nothing yet,” he replied calmly. “Don’t worry about it.”

Siya nodded slightly.

She just sitting lost in her thoughts about everything the truth . Aarav just looked at her trying to read her mind.

Then after a moment, she spoke again.

“Well, Aarav… I want to ask something who usually knows a person’s secrets?” siya asked casually trying to sound normal.

Aarav frowned a Little and said.

“But why are you asking this?”

“Just tell me,” she insisted.

He paused, thinking.

“Most secrets…” he said slowly, “are shared between husband and wife.”

Siya sighed immediately.

“Shameless.”

He smiled watching her he wants to make her feel good even like this.

“But,” he continued, “they’re also shared between siblings.”

Siya’s thoughts paused there.

But Mom had only one brother…and about dad ...

Before she could think further, Aarav added—

“Oh… and best friends.”

Siya looked up at him.

Her mind clicked instantly.

“Yes…” she murmured.

“Best friends.”

Aarav nodded.

“Sometimes, a best friend knows you even better than you know yourself.”

Siya’s eyes sharpened slightly.

Now she had a direction.

A new clue.

She nodded slowly.

“Oh… I understand.”

Aarav watched her carefully.

He didn’t know what she was thinking.

But one thing was clear—

Siya was getting closer to something.

And whatever it was…

It was big.
