A few days later, Jungkook brought a pair of exquisitely crafted heels for Rose. He knew she hated them—but that made it all the more enticing for him.
Rose was lounging on the couch, scrolling through her phone, completely unaware. Jungkook walked in, holding the box with a small smirk. “Your gift,” he said casually.
“What gift? I don’t want any gifts,” she replied, eyes narrowing.
Ignoring her protest, he handed her the box. With a huff of annoyance, she opened it—and her eyes widened in momentary shock at the sheer elegance of the heels.
“I hate heels!” she snapped, her anger flaring. Without hesitation, she threw the expensive shoes onto the floor and stormed out of the room, leaving Jungkook smirking behind her.
The next morning, as Rose slept peacefully, Jungkook gave a quiet instruction to the maid. “Hide all her shoes… and place only heels in her rack.”
The maid, obedient and careful not to upset him, nodded and went about her task. Jungkook leaned against the doorway, arms crossed, a teasing smirk on his face. Let’s see how she handles this… he thought, already anticipating the storm she would create.
Later that morning, Rose entered the room, rubbing her eyes and stretching lazily. As she approached her shoe rack, her face froze. Every single pair of her beloved shoes was gone. In their place… only heels.
Her jaw tightened. “What the—” she muttered, storming closer.
Jungkook, leaning casually against the doorway, smirked. “Good morning, wifey. Looks like someone is going to have to get used to heels.”
Rose’s eyes blazed. “Used to heels? I don’t need to get used to anything!”
Before Jungkook could respond, she grabbed the shoe rack with surprising strength and flipped it over, sending the heels tumbling in every direction. The clatter echoed through the room, and even the maid outside froze in shock.
Jungkook’s smirk deepened, clearly impressed. “Wow… fearless as always,” he murmured, watching her stand amid the scattered shoes, hands on her hips.
“Don’t even think about teasing me,” she shot back, her voice steady, fearless. “I don’t need anyone deciding what I should wear.”
Jungkook chuckled lowly, stepping closer. “I like it when you’re bold… but just know, the game has only just begun.”
Rose glared at him, her daring smile matching his smirk. “Bring it on, Jungkook. I never lose.”
The tension in the room crackled as they stood there—two unstoppable forces, equally fearless, both ready to challenge the other.
Before Jungkook could say anything else, Rose’s eyes flicked to the scattered heels. A wicked grin spread across her face. “I hate heels!”
With deliberate steps, she carried the heels to a small decorative fireplace in the room. Jungkook’s smirk faltered, sensing what she was about to do.
She tossed the heels into the fire. Flames licked the luxurious leather and delicate glass, curling them into nothing but ashes. The room filled with the faint scent of burning fabric.
Jungkook’s eyes widened slightly, then he let out a low, amused chuckle. “You really are fearless… I’ll give you that.”
Rose turned to him, her expression bold and unyielding. “Lesson learned: I make my own rules. You can’t control me, Jungkook.”
Jungkook’s smirk returned, darker this time, eyes glinting with both admiration and challenge. “Oh, I’m not trying to control you… princess. I’m just enjoying the chaos you bring.”
Rose laughed softly, a victorious sparkle in her eyes. “Chaos is my specialty. Don’t forget it.”
The two of them stood there, the fire crackling between them, a silent battlefield of wills—but neither willing to give in.
Jungkook leaned casually against the doorway, arms crossed, a dark smirk playing on his lips. “Impressive… destroying heels well you know I didn’t think anyone could do that in my house, wifey.”
Rose turned toward him, hands on her hips, unbothered by the ashes on the floor. “And? They’re useless to me. You think a few fancy shoes can control me?”
He stepped closer, his smirk widening. “Not control… just testing you. And you? You passed with flying colors.”
Rose rolled her eyes, a playful challenge in her tone. “Well, if you think that scares me… you’re wrong. Try me, Jungkook.”
Jungkook chuckled, eyes glinting with mischief. “Oh, I don’t think it scares you. I know it excites you.”
Her eyes narrowed, lips curving into a daring smile. “Excites me? Keep dreaming. If you think you can intimidate me with anything, you’re sorely mistaken.”
He shook his head, clearly amused. “You really are something else… fearless, bold, and stubborn. I love it.”
Rose smirked back. “Good. Then remember that. I make my own rules… even in your mansion.”
The tension between them pulsed, playful and charged, each silently daring the other to make the next move. The game between Jungkook and Rose was far from over—if anything, it had just begun.
That evening, Jungkook returned from the office and went straight to the room, expecting everything to be in perfect order. But what he saw made his eyes narrow slightly—pillows scattered, the mattress partially on the floor, and Rose casually scrolling through her phone, completely unbothered.
“You… did this?” he asked, his voice a mix of anger and disbelief.
Rose looked up at him, a bold smirk on her lips. “Did what? Oh, this? Don’t worry, I’ll have the maid arrange it,” she said nonchalantly.
The maid hurried in, and Rose instructed sharply, “Make sure the bed is fixed. And while you’re at it, clean the room beside this one as well.” The maid nodded, doing as told.
Rose glanced at the freshly cleaned room, approvingly. “Oh, nice. I’ll sleep here tonight. The couch is far too small for me,” she declared, striding over and settling herself in the new room as if she owned it.
Jungkook clenched his jaw, trying to control the surge of anger. Yet, despite his fury, he couldn’t help but be impressed by her boldness. Rose, as always, had done exactly what she wanted—unapologetically and without fear.
She turned back to her phone one last time, giving him a teasing glance. “Goodnight, Jungkook,” she said, leaving him standing there, simmering quietly, as she made herself comfortable.
