Part 30

Jungkook took his first bite and immediately froze. “What the hell is this?!” he exclaimed, his face turning red, his ears heating up.

Rose smirked, arms crossed. “You wanted me to cook, didn’t you? This is exactly how I cook.”

“It’s… it’s so spicy! How can anyone eat this?” Jungkook’s nose flared slightly, and his ears burned with the heat of the food.

Rose tilted her head, teasing. “Wifey, take a bite,” he managed, still fanning his mouth.

“I won’t eat,” she said boldly, stepping back. “I made this just for you.” With that, she walked away, leaving everyone in the kitchen stunned by her audacity.

Jungkook, still fuming yet smirking, followed her.

Both reached the room, and Rose gestured to the side. “Why did you come here? Go eat something sweet instead.”

His face still tinged red from the spice, Jungkook leaned closer, a sly grin spreading. “I came here… for that,” he said, the playful glint in his eyes matching her mischief.

Jungkook slowly closed the distance between them.

“What are you doing?” Rose asked, narrowing her eyes.

He smirked, leaning closer. “Nothing, wifey… I just want some sweet from you.”

She instinctively pushed him, but he countered, gently yet firmly nudging her back until she stumbled onto the bed. Jungkook hovered above her, his presence commanding. Rose struggled, trying to push him away, but he pinned one of her hands with his own and subtly blocked her legs with his, keeping her from moving.

Before she could react further, he pressed his lips to hers. She let out a muffled scream, not just from the sudden kiss but also from the lingering spice that still tingled her lips.

Jungkook pulled back slightly, his eyes dark with amusement, clearly enjoying her fiery reaction.

Her face flushed bright red, and her eyes glistened with tears from the lingering spiciness. Jungkook looked down at her, a teasing smirk playing on his lips.

“Look, wifey… I also got my revenge,” he said, watching her shoot him a death glare.

Rose pressed her lips together and groaned, “Ahh… my lips!”

Jungkook’s gaze lingered, clearly amused by her struggle. “Don’t worry, I’ll make it better,” he said, calling out to the maid. “Bring some sweets for us.”

Rose, meanwhile, kept licking her lips to tame the burning sensation. The maid soon arrived with the sweets. Jungkook took a bite, savoring it, and then offered some to Rose.

She tried to resist, but the spiciness on her lips made her take a tentative bite. She quickly followed it with a gulp of water, and Jungkook chuckled, thoroughly entertained by her reaction.

After a while, the spiciness faded, and Rose let out a long, relieved sigh. Just then, Jungkook’s phone buzzed, and he stepped outside to take the call.

“I will take revenge, Jungkook… you heartless man,” she muttered, still fuming, before walking to the adjoining room and lying down to sleep.

Two days later, her anger had not subsided. She sat in her room, arms crossed, scowling. A maid knocked and entered, saying, “Mam, sir came home early today.”

Rose raised an eyebrow. “Why?”

The maid replied, “He’s swimming in the pool, mam.”

Rose’s eyes sparkled with a mix of irritation and challenge. The mansion’s pool was large and beautiful, and she didn’t like being left out. “Oh… okay,” she said, determination in her voice. Without another word, she stormed off toward the pool, her mind already plotting her next move against him.

Rose approached the pool and saw him swimming gracefully, his toned body glistening under the sunlight. For a moment, she couldn’t deny he looked handsome

but she quickly scowled, refusing to let herself admire him. With a sigh, she walked to the edge of the pool and sat down, dangling her feet above the water.

Jungkook’s gaze immediately landed on her. A playful smirk curved his lips. “What’s the matter, wifey? Want to swim with me?”

“Never,” she shot back, folding her arms. “I will never swim with you. Have you looked at your face?”

He chuckled, shrugging. “Yes, I know I’m handsome.”

Rose huffed, shaking her head. “And that day… you took your revenge, huh?”

“Of course,” he said smoothly, his smirk widening.

She crossed her arms, wagging a finger at him, scolding him softly but with a fire in her eyes. Finally, she slumped onto the edge of the pool, resting her chin on her knees. “You are heartless, Jungkook.”

He simply smirked, enjoying every bit of her frustration.

Suddenly, Jungkook reached out and grabbed her hand firmly. Before she could react, he pulled her toward him, and with a swift motion, she tumbled into the pool with a splash. Water surged around them, and Jungkook held her close by the waist, his smirk never fading.

“I hate you, Jungkook!” she yelled, struggling to push him away as droplets of water clung to her hair and clothes.

He only chuckled, holding her hand tightly so she couldn’t escape. In a final act of defiance, she scooped up water with one hand and splashed it directly onto him.

Jungkook wiped his face, grinning wickedly. “Oh, wifey… you’re so bold. I love it.”
