Part 62

Siya lay down on the bed and stared at the ceiling.

She sighed softly.

Now what…?

Her thoughts kept circling around the failed plan.

Then suddenly—

She remembered something.

“This Sunday…” she whispered.

“Akhil’s engagement.”

A slow smile appeared on her lips.

“Hm… this will be fun.”

Just then, Aarav entered the room.

For a brief second—

Their eyes met.

And immediately, Siya turned her face away.

Aarav noticed.

But he didn’t say anything.

He quietly walked toward the couch and lay down.

The silence between them had become familiar now.

Heavy.

Cold.

Unspoken.

A few days passed.

Siya didn’t talk to him.

And Aarav stopped trying too.

Because no matter what he said

She wasn’t listening.

Meanwhile—

Aarav sat on a bike, one hand gripping the handle as the engine slowed.

The instructor looked impressed.

“Sir, you learn very fast,” he said.

“Most people take weeks… but you grasped it quickly.”

Aarav removed his helmet slightly.

For the first time in days—

A faint smile appeared on his lips.

His mind replayed her words.

“I love bikers.”

Nearby, Reshabh stood watching quietly.

The instructor chuckled.

“Well… Mr. Goenka almost learned perfectly. But why the sudden interest?”

Reshabh smiled knowingly.

“Because Mrs. Goenka likes them.”

The instructor paused.

Then laughed softly.

“Ahh… understood.”

Even he couldn’t help smiling.

And far away from all this—

Siya still had no idea…

That the man she kept pushing away—

Was changing himself, little by little,

Just for her.

Aarav walked toward them and handed the helmet back.

Then he looked at Reshabh.

“Did you find anything?”

Reshabh lowered his head slightly.

“Not yet, sir.”

Aarav stayed silent for a moment.

Then he started walking away.

Reshabh followed behind him quietly.

Aarav sat inside the car.

Reshabh settled beside the driver while the car slowly started moving.

For a few moments, silence filled the space.

Then Reshabh glanced at him and said carefully,

“Sir… you’ve learned pretty well.”

Aarav replied calmly,

“This weekend prepare.”

Reshabh nodded and replied “Okay, sir.”

Aarav turned his gaze toward the window.

Lost in thought.

Then Reshabh spoke again.

“And sir… this Sunday is Akhil Mittal’s engagement.”

Aarav paused slightly and said “I know.”

A quiet sigh escaped him.

More than anything—

He wanted the truth now.

The full reality behind everything.

But above all—

He wanted Siya safe.

And deep down, he already knew—

She wasn’t going to stop.

She wouldn’t listen.

So he made a silent decision.

No matter what she does…

I’ll stay beside her.

Siya was sitting in the living room with Kavita when Reshabh entered.

“Siya ma’am.”

She looked up.

Reshabh stepped forward and handed her a bag.

“Sir sent this.”

Siya paused slightly before taking it.

“…Okay.”

Reshabh nodded once and quietly left.

Kavita watched everything silently.

Then a small smile appeared on her lips.

“I have some work,” Kavita said casually and stood up.

Siya nodded absentmindedly.

She carried the bag to her room.

And closed the door behind her.

Siya looked at the bag curiously.

“What is this now…?”

She opened it slowly.

And paused.

Inside was a beautiful dress—

Paired with a stylish jacket.

For a moment, she simply stared at it.

Then she frowned slightly.

“He doesn’t even like short dresses…” siya muttered softly.

“And he sent this for me?”

She lifted the outfit properly and looked at it again.

A small smile appeared on her lips.

“…But it’s pretty.”

That evening—

Siya was sitting in the room when her phone buzzed.

She picked it up.

“Wear that dress and get ready,” Aarav said from the other side.

She frowned slightly and said “Why?”

He replied “We’re going somewhere.”

Before she could ask more—

The call disconnected.

Siya sighed.

“Where are we even going…?”

After some time, she got ready.

She wore the dress… then the jacket over it.

She did the Light makeup and Open her hair.

Looking Simple and effortless.

She stood in front of the mirror and looked at herself.

Then paused.

She looked beautiful.

A faint smirk appeared on her lips.

“Whatever, Mr. Goenka,” she murmured softly.

“You’re lucky.”

She called him.

Aarav picked up immediately.

“I’m ready.”

“Come outside.”

And the call ended again.

Siya sighed dramatically before walking downstairs.

Then she stepped outside—

And stopped.

Aarav was standing there.

For a second—

She genuinely froze.

He was wearing a black T-shirt, leather jacket, dark jeans, and boots.

No formal clothes.

No businessman look.

Nothing like the Aarav she had always known.

Tonight—

He looked different.

Dangerously handsome.

Like a proper biker.

Siya could only stare at him silently.

And then—

Her eyes shifted beside him.

A bike.

She blinked in disbelief.

Because she remembered clearly—

Aarav hated bikes.

And suddenly…

Everything connected in her mind.

Siya slowly walked toward him.

Aarav already had a helmet in his hand.

For a moment—

They just looked at each other.

Then Siya glanced at the bike again.

“Bike…?”

“Sit,” Aarav replied calmly.

“We’re going somewhere.”

“Where?”she asked.

“You’ll know when we reach.”He replied

Siya sighed softly.

Typical Aarav.

He handed her the helmet.

“I won’t wear it,” she said immediately.

“Wear it.”He said

“No. You wear it. You need it more. I’m okay.”siya replied

Aarav exhaled quietly before stepping closer to her.

And before she could react—

He gently placed the helmet on her head himself.

Siya froze.

Her heartbeat skipped instantly.

Aarav adjusted the strap carefully and said softly,

“It’s for your safety.”

Siya swallowed nervously.

But didn’t say anything.

Aarav sat on the bike and looked back slightly and said “Come.”

Siya slowly sat behind him.

Her hand hesitated in the air for a second before resting lightly on his shoulder.

Aarav paused at the touch.

And for some reason—

Her own heartbeat became faster too.

Because this was the first time.

The first time she was sitting behind him on a bike.

And one thought kept repeating in her mind—

He hates bikes.

Yet he learned riding one anyway.

Even while sitting behind him, she maintained a small distance between them.

Aarav noticed it immediately.

But he didn’t say anything.

Instead, he asked quietly,

“You comfortable?”

“Yes,” she replied softly.

“Let’s go.”

Aarav started the bike.

But the sudden jerk made Siya lose balance slightly.

And instinctively—

She wrapped her arms around his waist.

Both froze.

For a second, time itself felt still.

Because this was the first time—

She had held him like this.

And Aarav’s heartbeat rose instantly.

Slowly—

A faint smile appeared on his lips.

He started driving again.

But this time—

Siya didn’t let go.

Paakhi walked up to Kavita.

“Mom… where is bhabhi? Did she go somewhere?”

Kavita smiled softly.

“Yes… with Aarav.”

Paakhi’s eyes widened slightly.

“Oh… nice. They weren’t talking much these days, so this is good.”

Then she paused.

“But… where did they go?”

Kavita’s smile deepened and she said “On a bike.”

Paakhi froze instantly.

“Bike?” she repeated in disbelief.

“Bhai hates bikes… he doesn’t even drive one.”

Kavita nodded.“Now he does.”

Paakhi stared at her for a second.

Then a slow smile formed on her face.

“So… bhai learned biking just for bhabhi?” she said dreamily.

“Aww… that’s so cute.”

Her mother shook her head slightly, amused.

But Paakhi just kept smiling to herself.

Meanwhile

Aarav was riding through the road, cool wind brushing past them.

The night air was calm.

But inside the moment…

Nothing felt calm.

Siya was sitting behind him, holding him tightly.

And for the first time—

There was no distance.

No arguments.

No anger.

Just silence… and closeness.

A faint smile touched Aarav’s lips.

Because behind him—

Her heartbeat was loud enough for him to feel it.

And even without seeing her face

He knew.

She was there.

And she wasn’t letting go.
